TV Series

Has anyone found anything of interest or note on AppleTV? Got it for free for a while but haven't really looked to see if there is anything worth binging on there.

Started watching State of Happiness BBC4 Iplayer last night, another scandi drama set in Norway when the vast Ekofisk oil field was found. I've watched a lot worse.

I've watched a few things on it.

- Mythic Quest: Comedy about a computer game company made by the people who do It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I thought it was great but am a bit biased as I love It's Always Sunny and computer games. Would definitely recommend.

- The Morning Show: Enjoyed this but nothing special. Well acted and interesting story but not a must watch.

- Servant: Weird show by M Night Shyamalan. Wasn't very good and basically just kept watching to see if there was an M Night twist.

- Defending Jacob: Watching this at the moment and the final episode is released on Friday. Enjoyed it at the beginning but it really slows down 3 or so episodes in and becomes a bit of a grind with barely anything happening. Well acted but should probably have been 6 episodes rather than 8. Only really stuck with it as I want to find out what happens.

Sounds like they need to up their content quality if they expect people to pay a monthly fee - thanks for the heads up ;)

A House Through Time is on tomorrow night at 9pm on BBC2 - really recommend this

This is series 3 and focuses on a house in Bristol. The first two series focussed on houses in Liverpool (series one) and Newcastle (series two) - both series were outstanding imo.

The BBC blurb...

David Olusoga traces the lives of the residents of an 18th-century house in Bristol, discovering extraordinary stories ranging from a runaway slave to a World War II fraudster.

Just finished the 2nd series of After life. I quite like it, easy watching and funny in places. The one gripe with it though is Gervais's fascination with the 'c' word. Seems he needs to get it in far too many times and it's just unnecessary.

Just watching that money heist part 1. Feel like am watching emmerdale or something, think I’m the only person that thinks it’s dog [Poor language removed]
