Just finally got into this and it's brilliant.

The main character with Huntington's is hitting home as one of my best mate's family has gone through all of that.

I really like the bouncing around the three different connected plotlines.

Haven't finished it yet but I hope it ends with the possibility of more to come.

On the last couple of episodes of Series 3 of The Last Kingdom. You can definitely see the Netflix money pumping through it's veins now.

Still has the same issues with characters becoming seemingly invincible killing machines as and when the plot requires, odd pacing and character development and constant relationship resets between the main players .......but it's very good escapist fun and isn't too afraid to stick the knife (sometimes literally) into big characters.

Season 4 was even better.

The production is very loyal to the books and the books are all plot convenience to get the main character to the battles so the reader can witness it. They don't focus a lot on character building so the show doesn't have much to work with there and the pace they go through the books doesn't really allow them much time. It's all plot, all the time, to get to the next battle.

The lead guy was horrible. I did watch it all quite quickly though. It was reasonably entertaining I thought. There were some pretty funny bits. I probably wouldn't bother recommending it though. Easy watch before bed

It gets a 5-6/10 for me

Well, my verdict on White Lines.
Just about held my interest. There was a story there and on the whole told it reasonably well. I enjoyed the location really and the casting as well. Daniel Mays stood out for me. Harmless fun which just about avoided being as dire as Gangs of London.

Agreed. I had to really push myself to get about 15 minutes into episode 2 before I gave up. Thought it was terrible
