Stones and Browning where huge positives from the derby. Maybe this season will see us ship a few more goals than usual as we start to see a shift from experienced pros to young prospects. In Garbutt, Browning, Stones and hopefully Galloway we might have a lot of the answers already at the club (Kenny looks impressive too when I have seen him play).

Did very well upon coming on, look forward to seeing more of him in the future. Surely that's it for Hibbert, now.

No it's not.

People need to get realistic here.

Yes, Ty did well in the short time he was on but we need to see a lot more of him before we can say he is Seamus's understudy.

If Seamus is still not fit you can bet Bobby will start Tony at OT.

It seems the defensive side of his game is really good, Martinez said last season he was the best one on one defender at the club. I really kept a close eye on him in the pre season, not once did a player running at him get passed him. He's a very strong, quick and powerful lad, physically ticks every box.

If he can become a good attacking player I've got no doubt he'll make it as a very good player.

Daft to think that this lad is ahead of Stones at right back here when Stones is England's de facto first choice right now.

Roy Hodgson couldn't find his own ass with both his own hands. Stones is absolutely not a RB in the same manner Jagielka is not a RB. The travesties at international level should not be worn at club level.
Browning had a hell of a game to make a debut in, stuck a great left footer sliding tackle in, and looked to get forward.

Lets see the youth setup compete against the other sides youth setups, a sign of a top level group is being together enough and having enough skills to win a youth trophy. Think Dunne, Hibbert, Ball, Osman and Jeffers (IIRC).

If Browning Galloway and Garbutt get a few chances this season and show they can step up then with Kenny also potentially a first teamer in a couple of seasons that is a defence with a lot of potential.

Joe Gomez in as well and I think we can enjoy watching some really good defenders over the next decade.

Looked great going forward and completely took Lallana out of the game, I'm very excited for he and Garbutt.

Don't want to get too hasty, but it looks like we may be one centre back away from having our back line sorted for the next decade!
