The moment he just brushed away sterling with ease, and the confidence he showed stepping into a derby for his debut impressed me massively, him and stones will be huge for us for years to come, if kenney keeps developing and with garbutt too, could end with a group of academy lads forming the back four - stones aside

Browning had a very good cameo yesterday, with his athletism and defending being his best asset right now. Maybe he'll be Coleman's backup in the short term so he can develop and gain expirience, but long term he'll definitely be a CB. A good complement to Stones, composed on the ball and atheltic. I might be getting way ahead of myself but he could turn into a Sergio Ramos, Branislav Ivanovic type of player who are excellent at both RB and CB.

A good indicator of the low level of defending in World Football over the last few years, when somebody can describe Sergio Ramos as excellent.

Browning looked comfortable. No idea whether he will be good for us, or in general but it is always pleasing to see players come through the ranks to the first team.

I think Browning and Galloway are the reason Roberto let Duffy move on. Personally I thought Duffy was not a bad player, and a full international by the time he left. So if Roberto reckons these are better it bodes very well for the future.

Throw in Garbutt, Kenny, Ledson, Kennedy, Kinsella into the mix and we could be in great shape in the next 3 years. This all on top of Stones, Barkley, Coleman, McCarthey, Besic, Lukaku and Oviedo all 25 or younger.

The future is looking great.

....I'm surprised he was given a contract and doubt it will be renewed. Unlikely he will get a look in as he's behind Hibbert, Coleman and Stones.

Not

Impressed

hes the new tony hibbert

this all day long

If his contract has just ended, I'd be very surprised if he was kept on.

However, he might've been doing well in training hence being given a go by Martinez. The fact that he was probably playing for his footballing future can't have helped his nerves today either.

Was not that impressed with him tbh

Not going to lie, he has never impressed me when I've seen him.

Makes me realise just how lucky we are to have a player like Coleman as our first choice.

Oh Aye.
