Never been overly impressed when I've seen him before but was more so in his brief derby experience.

Will need to see much more of him before any real opinions or judgments can be made. Fingers crossed he's the reason RM didn't bring in any RB cover this past summer.

I'm not understanding the hype over this lad. The love in from what i've seen on here is rather strange. Nothing more than average for me. It will take a lot more than a couple of shorts passes against Liverpool and a 5 minute making up the numbers against Utd to convince me he is the real deal.

Don't think anyone's saying he's the absolute tits yet, it's more that we need good long-term options in defence and he's managed to come in and make his debut in two very high profile matches and put in a very solid showing. Can't ask for much more than that from a youth prospect eh?

He's played a combined 10 minutes over those two games, so i'm not understanding the ' very solid showing '.

The trouble with Evertonians is that they jizz over any youngster coming through and make assumptions before actually finding out if he is any good.

We wouldn't have equalised against Liverpool without his contribution. That is why people like him. That and the rest of our options at RB and CB are a bit rubbish.

He played during preseason and some posters will have seen him play for the youth team as well.

Agree it is early days yet but he's hardly put a foot wrong so far which is more than you can say for a lot of our more experienced players.

Fair enough...

Again, he's played 10 minutes this season so thats the least you would expect no ? So in 10 minutes this season, he hasn't put a foot wrong (fair play) and he hasn't done anything at all of note... so that's average. Not understanding the wank fest to justify average.

It is certainly an improvement on Besic's debut 10 minutes...

I was very impressed with him in preseason, primarily when he was playing out of position in the LB role and came very close to scoring a goal.

Just like we cant/shouldnt judge Besic on his awful 10 minute first showing in competitive football; we shouldnt judge Browning on his average 10 minutes.

He'll no doubt become a good player for us, important player; but lets not get carried away, he's done jack. We have people throwing him in the first team with this injury to Stones. Based on what? A few minutes of 'solid' competitive football...

He's come on and played 30 minutes as a debut in big games, looked composed and done a good job. I think people are allowed to be pleased about that.
You on about the Derby??

He did nothing more than what Hibbert was already doing but not a lot are mentioning this. Did you read the match thread before kick off? Hibbert got ripped several new ones, I joined in and rightfully so, but all things considered Hibbert did fine.

Browning replaced Hibbert and it was like for like... fine (average)
