Jags is a smaller CB though, I just think if we played Browning and Jags together and we played an opposition with a proper target man or a bigger striker we'd really struggle in the air and with pieces.

The lad's had 2 substitute appearances as a RB, looked ok.

So lets start him CB against a team who, before playing Arsenal, Chelsea and City on the bounce were doing well and will have their main striker back, that'll do his development a world of good.

I'm not disputing that. But to give a 20yr old his first start in a position he had no first team experience in up against Benteke?! He'd get bullied.

Id throw him in against Villa to be honest with you. Distin and Jags combo is awful this season and alcaraz is too slow for the PL. Stones would be still playing 21s football if we had the attitiude that hes too young and will get bullied. I like the cameo's his had enough to give him his chance. Hes biggger than Stones so wont be bullied anymore than Stones would. If you seen Balotelli in the derby trying to bully him he just pushed him away and laughed at him shows hes not fazed by the league so I reckon hel be fine.

hes fast too and the Villa game could be an ideal full PL debut for him

Villa aren't all that. There are few games you can safely throw the youth players into, so its always going to be a risk.

I don't understand some people who aren't prepared to go out on a limb for one game. Unlikely its going to thoroughly crush him, if he really struggles then Bob will replace him with Alcatraz.

I agree, bobby threw stones in last year away at stoke. A really tough place for a centre back. Now im not saying it will work out like stones but i would take a shot at it

This is the main reason to play him over Alacaraz who has persistently lacked concentration in games. Scored own goals and made errors.

I still would not play Hibbert and would rather have Oviedo as RB cover since the same could be said of the mentioned player as Alcaraz.

We've got a proven CB on the bench though, fair one he has made a few mistakes but he isn't terrible, no point in having him at the club if he isn't going to play him when we need him. Would rather play Alcaraz than risk destroying Brownings confidence, after he's started his senior career well at RB by throwing him in at CB.

You would rather play a LB out of position, who is not long back from a serious injury than a RB who has played well in his last 2 games?
