Again, could you provide a source for your wild assertion that Moshiri sold his USM share/ half of it for cash. Maybe you can show us a picture of the mattress he is hiding it under.

You still haven't backed up your claim that anything going on today is going to affect the stadium build so how about you show your working out first.

Nothing that has happened is in the least bit catastrophic for Everton. The sanctions are in now. There won't be anymore if Putin doesn't escalate beyond invading Ukraine. At some point they go for a diplomatic solution to this, and the hawkish voices in government get piped down again, as they should be.

Won't stop @gwladysnight trying to wind up blues with baseless claims about this putting an end to the stadium.

It's almost like this is entirely his wishful thinking...

Hold on mate, I haven't backed anyone. I'm just pointing out Navalny is a far right thug/criminal who is rightly in jail. He's in no position to be judging anyone. I'm not interested in what some Islamaphobe has to say. Why would anyone be interested in what he has to say?

As for the assertion, Moshiri sold lots of USM shares, I believe in early 2020.

I have no idea where he is hiding his cash, but I'm not proclaiming to know exactly where he hides his cash. I doubt anybody does. But over the last 3-4 years Russian businessmen will had pre-empted this witchunt and will have siphoned it away.

As for stealing from the Russian people. Have Usmanov or importantly Moshiri ever been convicted of such an offence? I know Usmanov was arrested for fraud. I didn't know he had a conviction for theft though. Moshiri hasn't stolen from anyone.

I have no idea why you think any of what I have put is hypocrisy mate. I don't like politicians like Hodge who attack the left and amplify the far right, or fascists like Navalny. I'm pretty consistent in that. I'm not sure how there is any hypocrisy, as I don't think Usmanov or Moshiri have done any of the things that either Hodge or Navalny have done.

Ah ok, well lets correct that to some of our gas comes from Russia. Should we not use gas anymore?

Or if you own a property, some of that has been propped up by Russian wealth, so should people hand that money back too?

Or maybe ourselves, as British citizens should freeze our own assets for our own countries crimes in Ireland, Iraq, Africa, India (amongst many others)?
Or it doesn't work like that for Brits does it?

And also difficulties around the land. If memory serves me correctly, Abramovich pulled the stadium in response to not being given a visa. So it's sort of the other way round to what you are saying.

Either way, Moshiri is a British citizen, so he will not run into that difficulty will he?

Sanctions began in 2014 and have continually been increased ever since. Are you really suggesting that the west should go for a diplomatic solution to the invasion of a sovereign state ?

You make Neville Chamberlain sound like a tough negotiator. Putin isn't going to stop at the Ukraine.

No, a tiny percentage of our gas comes from Russia. Given that the point of these sanctions is to financially hit the Oligarchs who profited from the sell off of things like publicly owned Russian gas companies. We will soon be using zero Russian gas.
