Usmanov

It'd make sense to why this whole transfer window has changed pace. We had no money until we sold players and then out of nowhere we're throwing £40m at Watford, £20m at Barca (hopefully more) and offering Bernard double the wages anyone else has offered

We could have done with any move to us being before the transfer window closed, although you never know.

It's pretty clear now that Usmanov its coming here to join up with Moshiri and that the so far unexplained £220m needed to add to the £280m from the council will come from him. We are a decent prospect for an investor with so much room to grow, so much untapped potential that a new stadium will release.

The Premier League is huge worldwide and we're an ever present that hasn't grown as some of the others have despite having the gravitas of the top clubs. What has held us back is the stadium and some poor decisions. I feel those issues will be behind us in the not too distant future.

We're not going to win the league this season and maybe not the next, this isn't about that. What I believe we will do is boot one of the top clubs out and take their place. Ripe for this would be Arsenal and Usmanov would be very happy to see this happen.

Patience is needed, Rome wasn't built in a day but for the first time in a long time I can see blue skies ahead.

It may sound sarcastic but it is the truth in effect, just the method of delivery changes. Moshiri will have spoken to Usmanov and if he is on board he may tell him he will underwrite up to x amount of millions before he officially joins (if that happens).

Our only hope of competing at the top again.

I would love him to come aboard if anything to shut up the top 6 and plastic clubs like West Ham who get above themselves.

Imagine the optermism if he came in - sudden new ambitious scale sizes of BMD, bids going in for the top drawer players.

If there is a God...
I can well foresee an occasion whereby council members will call into question anything directly as opposed to implied Usmanov involvement. You know, dodgy money, ethics and so on.

We did have money, Brands just wanted to make sure he could move the deadwood before he purchased more players.

Always despair, but the hope of limbs.

We are Everton football club. We have held the Football league title for longer than any club apart from Manchester United. Some of our greatest teams were denied the right to show what they could do in Europe. We have a history, a story and a tradition like no other. We were once the best run team in the country and the envy of every other side.

The man who build Liverpool did so in our image but trying to emulate what we did.

It has been farcical for 25 years, but if we get it right nobody can live with us.

Indeed, although we have made space for Bernard by getting rid of Rooney and not having to pay a transfer fee. If we go wax 70 million on someone in the next few days while he hasn't yet officially bought into us will be the clearest sign that he is on board.
