So as it turns out esk was totally and utterly wrong, and all those times he effectively stated categorically things about usmanov not being able to sell have been shown to be utter rubbish, but hey he's got his own podcast now, ofc amusing the fact it's called business matters and he's been proven to be utterly wrong in the biggest one by far

I still expect usmanov to come onboard, not this window for sure. We may end up paying 50% more for everything this window if the whole world knows we have a billionaire with half a billion hard cash to invest.

Let's be fair to Dave here, if Usmanov is indeed a dodgy sod then maybe it would be best to stay clear of him?

Perhaps that's why he didn't eventually buy Arsenal? Maybe they knew something about him that we don't?

Funnily enough I wouldnt be shocked at all for Moshiri and Usmanov to wait until BMD finance package is signed and sealed by the Council before he came aboard as like you say it doesnt look good the council "lending" money to a club owned by a Putin Oligarch to build a stadium whilst dose pesky pot holes remain unfilled.

Just hope he comes on board I still remain skeptical.

The more I think about it , shock horror I reckon dig deep enough and all money stashes are dubious.

Just to clarify the Esk he always said no one else would buy Usmanov out.. an Usmanov always said he never sell to Kroenke. So the Esk was right no one else did buy him out...

Not one to get too excited about stuff, but if he is going to join everton.. i expect it to happen fairly quickly i.e. tomorrow. Is there too many little bits adding up to usmanov joining?? Kenwright leaving rumours, stadium needing funding, etc. ? Anyone else reckon that planning permission has been passed in private (unofficially) and now is the time to rubber stamp the deal?

Other option is we dont see or hear from usmanov for a long while in the uk, but to me his persona has taken a knock with Kroenke ‘winning’ his shares.. the money is nothing to him but it makes him out to be the weaker man vs kroenke.Certinatly no smoke without fire and at the minute there is a hell of a lot of smoke
