Usmanov

So the money for a new stadium hasn’t been an issue? From the outside it look like it has been, I mean we’re still waiting for the council loan.

I'm not saying we haven't been searching for funding but you wrote that we are 'scurrying around trying to find the money towards a new stadium', we could simply be supplementing or trying to find better deals. The thing is none of us know if we have already got enough for plan A/B/C need 75 million more for D or for balance if the total stadium funds at the moment stand at £37.50 (with a few dodgy IOUs so it may not quite be that much).

The club have continually said we will be in a new stadium so I don't see the link between Usmanov coming and the funding. Both of them openly stated that the Emirates could have been long term funded without having the impact that it had on Arsenal so I would imagine will still be funded via external loans regardless.

Usmanov is hardly likely to tip his hand is he? I mean the second he does any prices we are looking at for players would double. It wouldn't surprise me if we didn't have some crazy spending on the last day, hijacking some of the deals and blowing them out of the water.

Time to start getting excited, things are falling into place. They might try to put us down, they won't. They won't know what's hit them.

Also, would investments be made directly through purchase of shares for himself, or through Mosh's Isle of Man holding thingy-majick.

Very credible and respected journalist who has wrote some superb articles on Hillsborough and Orgreave. But he is z Liverpool fan and the cult mask has slipped a few times recently.
To be honest they are articles about historical events that might of been well researched and wrote but that dosent mean he knows whats going on today

David Conn is a highly respected journalist who specialises in the financial aspects of football and its operations and scandals. He is a supporter of Manchester City.

I sit on a wooden seat. They are way better than the plastic ones, and the reason the plastic ones are more common is they are cheaper.

Im all for a brand new top of the range stadium, but I don't get this way of thinking at all.
Twas a simple joke my friend

I’m fairly sure it’s fees as well, because PSG got done over it when the signed Neymar and Mbappe, I think they tried to get round it by loaning Mbappe, then signing him at the end of the season, Man City got done as well, but I think it was how many players they could have in the CL squad, rather than a cash fine
Both of those clubs got fined 35 million euros or somewhere around that.

Also telling that PSG were going to get spanked hard in july over FFP after the Mbappe and Neymar deals but Uefa relented and nothing happened.

There is a FFP 2.0 coming after the European big clubs had a meeting in spring which was supposed to have been organised by Barcelona and the mouthy La Liga boss who were smarting over losing Neymar.

Basically a meeting how to curb the spending power of City and PSG and they will be a limit net spend of £100 million NET,stop clubs (Chelsea) hoarding young players by abusing the loan system and having squads of 25 players over 21 years old.
