You may know more about this than me, but I’m under the impression that Usmanov has s British passport, unlike Abromovich. And has houses in London.

He was born in Uzbekistan but he's a Russian citizen, so there's nothing wrong with saying he's Russian. In fact, it's pretty dodgy to say he's not Russian just because he wasn't born there. More pertinently, he won't be coming anywhere the good ship Everton any time soon.
