esk mentions a club statement later today....
Nah, he mentioned another 'article'
It there was a club statement of any kind around the corner, more people would have hinted at it.

Don't really know much about business mate

Anyone thinking i'm a Kopite I will happily blow you all out the water
But he didn't want control, He'd sent his mate up the M6 to buy Everton and set the wheels in motion
He just thought he'd sit it off for 2 years for a laugh
We all know that Arsenal was his first choice.
I don't believe he loves Arsenal or any other club, I believe he sees an opportunity to make a fortune and that is the primary motivation.
Most supporters support their club from childhood. I would love to know what Age Usmanov was when he first even became aware of the club.
Do you this Abramovich loved Chelsea, the Glaziers loved Utd, the Americans loved Liverpool and so on.
They are all there for the money and they will all sell when they feel the time is right.
You mean other people. I'm not sure I'm gonna use Esk as a reliable source at this point...
Stop it now.
You somehow imagine Corestate to be this massive conglomerate, they are a medium sized asset management company at best.
Peel themselves would dwarf them.
At the risk of repeating what I've written here for some years now, you have to factor in 2 things. 1 The reputation of the paper and 2 the lack of any denial.
The FT (as with Bloomberg before it) hold enormous weight when it comes to reporting issues of investment. It is a trade manual for investors. In terms of football clubs ownership, it holds 100 X the weight of any tabloid in terms of what he is doing. So a tabloid could run 99 news stories saying he's going to Leeds, but it wouldn't hold this level of weight.
The 2nd is, that no serious denial has come to any of the links. We had a spell where broad, weak and unspecific denials were used to deny involvements. This then became no comments. You are now at the point where the only comment from Usmanov is to say he would say he will happily invest. The idea he has no interest in investing in Everton is no longer a credible position.
My own view, is he will remain in the background. For whatever reason it seems what he would prefer to do. I doubt he will ever formalise what is a very clear link. He will have a multitude of reasons for this. However he plays a central role in the "money will never be a concern" comment from Moshiri.
We are hitting a crunch point in terms of regulations. I suspect they will be alleviated quite quickly by a big investment. That seems more likely to me, than Ancelotti has to sell his best players and not re-invest.
As a final point of order, if Insmanov comes, the level of financial capacity of the club goes far beyond what s reported publicly. We likely have the backing of Skotch alongside Moshiri and Usmanov. Officially their wealth stands at over 20 bn. Unofficially that figure will be substantially above that. A huge section of their investments may be in areas that are very difficult to fully understand the true extent of their wealth, particularly investments within Russia. They also have investments that provide easy liquidity.
These guys have links with senior figures in the Russian state and I should imagine have links with China (hence the deal previously done with the bank). Serious funding will be available. Far beyond the very cautious, window dressing figure of the 20 bn they have publicly. As suggested, money is no object.
I don't know what other people think, but I would;t be surprised if a 3rd company, with ties to Usmanov provide the finance.
Usmanov has been frustrated for years by Kroeke at Arsenal... I am sure that you are aware of that.Anyone thinking i'm a Kopite I will happily blow you all out the water

Alright then mate. I'll bow to your superior knowledge.
Things change in business though. I know that much. What's to say he did want control of Arsenal. But wasnt able to get it. So might be interested in Everton now that he holds no interest in Arsenal?
Is that a statement or a question ?Don't really know much about business mate
He was a substantial shareholder there, hoping to become the main shareholder, of course he supported them.No because they've never publicly said so, Usmanov has
