Usmanov

Sorry, you've come in half way though, I said he would never have risked being involved with Everton if he'd gained control of Arsenal, Someone suggested he would

When he lost the battle the first time round? Course he wouldnt.

Got to laugh at Kirkbride - the Echo understands Moshiri doesnt intend to ask for Usmanovs aid at this stage.

As if Phil knows anything - he's a dye in the wool red that fella if I've ever seen one - always quick to push any story/slant on a story to pour water on the Blues. Like how he and Dom King were always cautious over Ancelotti and constantly name checked Moyes - Red/echo scum.

The blacklisting of that rag officially by the club and the support base should have been done years ago.

All the coverage is passive aggressive backhanded compliments designed and happy to maintain the status quo with us playing second fiddle to the kopites.

If it was revealed tomorrow that @havrey0123 was the senior sports writer I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

Anyone Evertonian that buys that paper or gives them clicks should be ashamed of themselves.

It's not like back in the day where you had to buy the pink on Saturday to read all the footy stuff (don't get me started on the grovelling Blues who wrote in to that fat racist Tommy Smith trying not to get a "bounce ball"), there is a million different media platforms to pick from.

They need the club more than we need that paper.

Cut our ties, call it out for the kopite rag it is and boycott it once and for all.

It has also been claimed that Usmanov 'brokered' a deal to bring Carlo Ancelotti to Goodison as manager but the ECHO has been told that the pair met only in a social setting – thought to be in Bavaria, Germany - and that the world's eighth richest man was not involved in the decision-making process that secured the Italian as Marco Silva's replacement.

lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

Social setting.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

But it makes more sense if he never comes in officially, he can give us vastly more money from the outside.

I'd be delighted if it were true. It just doesn't ring true, that's all. Why would you conduct your private business through the pages of the FT?
For a man that is notoriously media shy he obviously had his reasons
Maybe he wanted to let Ancelotti know in advance of their meeting that he was on board, because I am sure ancelotti would have had serious reservations about accepting the job .

I dont see the geo-political implications, tbh.

There defo was a personal reason for oligarchs to attach themselves to English football clubs, but I serioulsy doubt Usmanov is serious about this. It sounds like a throwaway line to a journalist's fishing expedition.

Still saying anything you can to disagree I see

Can just imagine them having a couple of pints and a game of darts tbh

People actually take the echo seriously too lol

That’s an absolute beauty that one, imagine it

But the interview was today...weeks after the Ancelotti appointment.
