It could be a message to Kroenke to make a decision. With Arsenal looking like they could be out of CL football for some time and a costly squad rebuild looking inevitable, Kroenke may be thinking about cashing in. Usmanov may be letting him know that he may soon no longer be an option for a sale as if he does make an overt investment in Everton he'll give up any aspirations of owning Arsenal?

That would explain all the nonsense about what shirt he's wearing etc.

Kronke is using his collateral in Arsenal to raise money in America.

That simply isn't true though. Moshiri bought Everton in February 2016 and Usmanov launched a bid to buyout Kroenke 15 months after that.

And by offering an inflated price he set the value of the club.
When Kronke bought Usmanovs shares he had to pay the inflated price.
Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
usmanov told Kronke what the club was worth.

It's very difficult to make a profit on a football club nowadays unless you were the one who bought it on the cheap. Will Abramovich get all the money he pumped in back? The only thing is if inflation and TV money keeps growing then eventually he might, but that 1 billion he pumped in back when, with inflation will probably outstrip it still.

Our neighbours and utd owners did well buying them on the cheap when they already had decent enough teams and high incomes I suppose, but how many people are going to buy a club for 1 billion and then still be expected to plough in money.
