Not surprised we lost, what do you expect sending out a squad like this, lucky we made it as far as we did. So many guys in Europe that should have been called in for this one who would have been better: Pefok, John Brooks,Sam Vines, [Poor language removed] damn Terence Boyd, etc.
And yes miffed spent a good deal of money to fly out here to San Diego for this haha; at least will go to the beach tomorrow!
Hopefully Jamaica beats Mexico so those pricks won't get a trophy at least.

MLS is not a developmental league anymore. Everyone goes and buys up players from Latin America and South America and brings them north. The American players in MLS are bang average at best.

Couple interesting friendlies in October but now we pretyy much go in the tank for the next 10 months now until the next Nations League. Then Copa America, then a year and a half of not having to qualify for WC.

Still getting beat at home by a third rate nation does not look good, even if it’s a weaken team.
Also speaks volumes about how strong the MLS is, questions need to be asked considering the US is co-hosting the next World Cup.
Read somewhere that the semi final is the target for the US now anything can happen in football but that is a stretch at this point.
Maybe Morocco is the inspiration but you look at that Moroccan team objectively they have really good defensive players in key positions and good forward options on the wing with real quality.
At this point I don’t think the US does but it’s still 3 years away so….

Yeah should still have won for sure, and if we had Pulisic, etc playing would have won 5-0 at the least let's be honest. Disappointing and frustrating but not end of the world either. MLS is stronger than it was yes, but could be better and in essence that will not really matter come the WC anyway as essentially all our best players play in Europe.
Being one of the hosts, will be bad to not at least make the semi's, but that will be easier said than done not just for us but every other country also who partcipates, with them adding teams.
We shall see but our 'A' USA team can be quite good come WC time if they all keep progressing.

I agree with your sentiments and look a US/Canada semi finalist is not out of the realms of possibility especially for the host nation.
I see the US mens team at full strength as being awkward to play against, veery fit and strong so will keep any team honest but playing against the top nations being short on quality at the sharp end.
Having said that the US will be tough to beat on their own patch as long as they have a full strength A team.
Injuries to them as we have seen here will reduce the quality of the squad.
I'm not sure that any except the very best in the world like Argentina Germany brazil France Italy etc do much better with essentially a 3rd choice 11 against Panama, ie if England had to make a team up out of players not involved in the WC, and played a comparatively rested Panama, that they do any better. Perhaps they do, but it isnt a given.

Jordan Morris, Long, Yedlin, etc etc should never be around the US camp ever again. Of course I want the MLS to get more prestige, but to be honest the best for the future of our national team is to continue to have our best players play in Europe.
