I like him, I think they need a player with his talent level and how he carries himself on the field desperately. Especially in concacaf qualifying that can get chippy.

I also will say, I do feel somewhat guilty criticizing him cause I like a good time lol and could see myself making the same mistakes...

However, this is the 2nd time in months... Gotta be much much better than that. Between showing up out of shape after the off season and this kind of stuff, he is precariously close to throwing it all away if he doesn't get his head on right.

It'll catch up with him.

Agreed. He hasn't gotten to the level yet but I think it really really leaves the bench short

I'll also add I'm not against firing Greg. I hated the hire, I don't have any good realistic options at the moment and I'm definitely not up for marsch

It's not even that I don't want Marsch. It's that there is no way in hell that he's leaving a chance at a CL club to come coach us.

I honestly think Gregg has been mostly fine but the issue is he's a philosophy coach, and not a good one, who is walking into a team that isn't good enough to play however they feel like. They've got certain skill sets especially in midfield that he's going to have to play to and he's not. I include McKennie in that. I like him as a player but he's not fixing what is wrong because he's not someone who is finding spaces in midfield to receive the ball up the field nor is he the guy who is threading it into those spaces.

I think it is a bit like Silva's Everton right now. A lot of pressing and possession but without the players to do anything with the possession or to stop the opponent from having dangerous breaks when it inevitably breaks down.

Basically this in a nutshell. We had 75% of the ball against Canada but a draw was a fair scoreline. If anything they edged it on chances and could’ve won.

Tonight given our personnel, I think we have to go with something like this. Suppose you could swap Acosta for Lleget but I’d rather have a minor goal threat/slightly creative player rather than two Defensive Mids tonight. I dunno. Doesn’t look that great but it’s what we have available. Just please don’t start Sargent at these Central American away games like we did in El Salvador. I’d honestly rather have Zardes in these types of matches.

The stupid foul on the corner, Buchanan was torching him in the 2nd half.

Absolutely useless and dumb player in that 2nd half vs Canada.

Heard the 1st half was better from the team but I missed it.

Yes, those types of things are inexcusable. Think he’ll do what he does well tonight, but I don’t understand where the creativity comes from. It’s basically Pulisic pulls a rabbit out, Bello gets a cross in, or we fluke something. I don’t get it.
