I just don't get why a manager thinks he can play worse players and not have the results suffer. I don't even want to do the MLS thing because some of the players like Pepi and Miles Robinson have been quite useful but to not understand there is a dropoff from Pepi to Zardes or that Paul Arriola being very capable of finding the right spaces won't matter if his touch and final ball isn't up to standard is really just not acceptable. Win tonight and we are comfortable. Now we're back to really needing points against a decent side Wednesday.

He’s clearly trying to rotate given the 3 game cycles, but he’s doing an awful job of it. The side he picked today wouldn’t even top MLS and I mean that. New England and Seattle both beat that team.

The correct way to rotate knowing you have McKennie and Robinson coming in fresh for sure on Wednesday would involve playing Adams and probably Aaronson. I just can't get over the love in with average MLS player like Arriola. He's got 5 goals and 2 assists in 17 in MLS! That's not good enough and honestly not close.

It just occurred to me that he took off Pepi, Aaronson and Adams against Jamaica so they didn't even have a full 90 on their legs and then he played Arriola, Acosta and Zardes.

That's a pretty sensible lineup although it is incredible that in 2021 Paul Arriola is getting the most minutes in a round of qualifiers. At least it isn't as obviously awful as Sunday.

Is Pulisic a constant sick note for the national team ? Never seems to play in any of the matches i pay attention to

Yeah, I go to a couple DC United games each year, Arriola has never really stood out tbh
He’s a 5 or 6 out of 10 player always. Just as average as you can get. Works hard, I’ll give him that but if I’m Weah and I’m sitting behind this guy who couldn’t get a game on loan at Swansea, I’m scratching my head.
