I am happy to see this because it shows that we are finally standing up for ourselves but I suspect the complaint has been made to pre-empt any punishment Frank might face for his words after the match.

If we hadn’t made this complaint, I suspect that we would have had Frank fined or even banned for a game. With this, I think the FA might just call it square and leave it at that but it should also put a seed of doubt in the minds of the refs on the pitch and at Stockley park the next time they have to review a decision relating to us.

For me, I think our clubs are seen as a quiet, placid club in the eyes of the refs so if in doubt it is better to go against us because we tend not to kick off as much as others.

The best thing Everton could do is make it known behind the scenes that they owe us a big decision that gets us points.

Whingeing in public about apologies is pathetic.

Not sure about that. Think it puts the EPL its officials in the spotlight not something they will like, they may learn not to push Everton about, all part of the modern game.

They'd see it as putting them on the spot and want to resist that.

Best behind the scenes whispering to them 'do you want that to be the moment we went down?'

Once Newcastle are safe we will be good to go with decisions, in the meantime Frank and Ash have started mind battles. Now doubt, will begin to creep into officialdom!
