Spot on.

Your body, your choice.
Their job, their choice.

People have a right to choose if they are vaccinated and employees have the right to choose if they employ unvaccinated people.
Yes, but where do you stand on the latter and football players / clubs?

I think my stance has been quite clear Dave.

Everybody should be vaccinated.

Sadly with the contracts footballers have clubs can not force them to get vaccinated.
They dont need to be forced, they need to be persuaded. Look at Basketball and American Football players.

The coming wave of infections, hospitalisations and deaths will make this issue toxic this winter. The club's need to get ahead of that.

Basketball and American football contracts are NOTHING like the contracts here for footballers Dave.

They need to be forced, if I was the Premier League I would be amending the rules banning unvaccinated players from playing in Stadiums.

I'm saying that there should be no threat involved. The clubs cant compel take up of vaccines. But the club can hold their own position on the issue.
You imply coercion from the stance the clubs would take, as other sectors have, or the threat of restrictions to unvaccinated people going to pubs, clubs, holidays?

Simply put - If you don't vaccinate you can't play ergo you need to vaccinate or we won't pick you?

I gave you my rationale. ?

For my part, all the talk about protecting others is just false. The results are 100% clear around the globe that getting vaccinated does not prevent you from getting and transmitting the virus.

I am not anti vaxx personally, but I am anti covid jab. I am under threat of job loss for this. Don't know about the situation over there, but here in the US, there is no recourse if the jab injures you in any way. It is under an emergency use authorization, and the manufacturers are under no liability for any injury.

There are some limited fda approvals that have occurred, but for legally distinct products for which not a single unit has shipped. A classic bait and switch.

Why would they feel the need to do that unless there were ulterior motives?

Whilst the vaccines do not guarantee that you won’t contract and transmit they significantly lessens the chances of both contacting the disease and if there is a breakthrough case you are likely contagious for a shorter time. This thread discusses the mechanics of how that happens.

The Pfizer jab is no longer under Emergency Use authorization, it has full approval.

I assure you that the product that is available is not the fda approved one. It has a different trade name (biontech vs cominarty). It is very clearly set out as legally distinct on the fda approval letter. Read it for yourself. Cominarty item is not available.

Imagine believing what Karen says on facebook and losing your job because of it.

I work for one of the big 3 pharmaceutical distributors in the US on precisely this topic. I assure you I know what I am talking about, never mind that the fda letter is freely available.

If a player tests positive for COVID then it should be a wake up for them to have the jab if they haven’t previously. That lad Robinson at WBA is playing with major fire by still refusing it even after two bouts of the virus
