Harry says they'd get him cheap because there's no time left.

IE, they must want rid badly, and they can't negotiate really because the clock was ticking.

thats the thing though - why would real madrid be that desperate to get rid of a player who (after all) played a lot of games last year? He was already in their 25-man squad, dont forget. Would they be that desperate (ie: to take a hit of at least £10 million) to get rid of someone solely to give Kaka (or Ozil, or Canales) more playing time?

They weren't giving him any real game time before, and now they have Ozil and Khedira (albeit a more defensive player).

But never rationalise Jose. He might change formations, making VDV redundant. He might not even like VDV, could just want rid.

I agree Chico. He may need some time to deal with the pace. That said, that could be a great signing for Spurs, as much as I hate to say it.

Think he may have gone to London because his lady friend / wife is suffering from cancer & he wants the best treatment for her. Big personal issues here - may help to explain Real Madrid's generous stance.

Thought she recovered?

Because they had Canales, Ozil, Granero, Van der Vaart and Kaka basically for one position - AM in 4-2-3-1, it's too much, even for crazy Real Madrid standards.

As much as i don't want to come across as bitter, i'd find it brilliant if this all fell through. Purely cos it's 'arry.

We've got no chance of getting top 4.

6th is going to be the holy grail.

Fack.

Agreed completely. I can hear Neviile at the end of the season saying " You look at how much we spent and considering our bad start to the season, we have done very well"

Moyes, " Spurs will spend,we know that but the squad we have is capable of achieving big things next season. I'd like to add one or two if I can but there's no cash. I am happy with the players, can't fault them."

FFS!
