Vaping as bad for your heart as smoking!!!

Ok thanks so if you use them as an ex smoker for how long to you think before you don't need the aid I know that like how long is a piece of string but I'm just trying to get my head around this,or do you get addicted to these as well.

I have no plans to quit. I just know I don't cough up green-grey phlegm as I'm not inhaling thousands of chemicals along with what I'm hooked to, which is nicotine, the actual addictive substance in both cigarettes and e-cigarettes, but which in itself is not actually that harmful. That's all vaping is to me - an alternative to smoking that works, that is at the very least 95% safer than smoking.

As a cessation aid, this is how e-cigarettes work - unlike traditional tobacco, you get different strengths of liquid, so you can start getting less nicotine in your system over time whilst still "smoking" the same amount by lowering the liquid from 18mg, to 12mg, to 6mg, 3mg and, finally, 0% nicotine. Indeed, my other halfs mum vapes with no nicotine whatsoever right now.

Ok mate thanks last question over a year what's the difference in cost between the two for yourself.

20 cigarettes a day, 365 days a year at £6.85 a pack (Windsor Blue King Size last time I checked) = £2,500 per year

Good starter kit (e.g. Innokin T18 or, if wanting a step up, Cool Fire IV) £20-50
Eliquids (30ml, but let's be safe and say 40ml) per month, £10-13 = £120-156

Total: £140-206 per year

Wow big big difference there ok cheers mate.

Exactly this.

I cannot state enough the vast improvement in my lung capacity since I went on the e-cig. The first week or so was a grueller, coughing up all the shoite that was deposited in me lungs; but after that I've been able to actually take a deep breath.

And I can actually notice the air pollution from heavy traffic, whereas I wouldn't have been able to when I was smoking tabs.

Mate if you use them are they any aid to help you to quit, and if they are how long do you use them for because it seems is a really big thing there is shops popping up everywhere.

Personally I use them for a hit rather than a smoke if that makes sense. So where you light up and smoke a whole ciggie, I will take a pull and put it back down. Most of the time relaxing at home though or for 15 minutes on my dinner. Other than that I don't really use them that much as there is no cravings as such. Plus I don't really vape in public areas as I can understand people are apprehensive and mainly I wouldn't like it blowing around me either if I didn't use them haha

The shops generally are being thrown up because they can be done cheap. A lot of their liquids they stock will be from a supplier so I would imagine per bottle they buy it's buttons compared to buying brands in. Plus the majority of their custom are from people who are giving up smoking so that is why a lot of shops fold as well, people don't need them anymore.

I noticed you asked Tubey about cost. Mine costs me 6 quid a month for my coils as they last 2 weeks each usually give or take. I make my own liquids so it costs me roughly 40 quid every 3 months or so. Very easy to do, and can make enough to last ages.

Haha tobacco company who is involved in vaping paid for that testing.

Oh my, just like they paid for testing in the 50's, 60's to prove cigarettes were not a danger.

You couldn't make it up.

Considering vaping is costing the tobacco industry billions mate its another swing and a miss from you. The majority of the market is in the fields of products they Darent manufacture as they are very quickly out of style so to speak. So all the tobacco industry will ever muscle in on is the starters market. Anyone like myself wouldn't ever give them a penny because they have no interest in doing that

smoking makes you cool

you can show of infront of the neighbours lads,
an impress hot girls if you smoke

Much the same as you @Tubey, I don't feel addicted to vaping - I just enjoy it, and have no plans to stop (3mg nicotine). I enjoy the same improved health benefits but it seems that user experience doesn't count as evidence!

Sorry, just one extra thing - replacement coils. About one or two a month, about £1 each, so add £24 on at most.

Yeah saves a fortune.

I've been on an e-cigarette since last November and I feel better for it. Saved myself a fortune too! I roughly spend £30 a month on the liquids! Dropping down to zero nicotine liquid next week. Hopefully be off the e-cig by the end of October.
Wow! I spend a good bit on liquid and coils in a month, probably £100, but then I'm pretty 'into' vaping. It's still cheaper than smoking by a distance - I was spending a good £300 or so per month.

How much do you pay for a bottle of liquid? I get the 30ml bottles and they last me about 9 days! It's 3 for £25 off a website. That's shocked me, you pay that a month.

What flavour does everyone have? I've been on Heisenberg for last few month.

Cannot actually imagine how you'd spend that a month haha

Well, I run about three devices at a time, and I like big sub ohm tanks and high VG juices - I'm the heavy vaper the articles go on about! I'm also a bit of a flavour junkie so I've got about ten different ones on the go at any one time. I generally buy two new 30ml premium juices online a week for anywhere between £20 and £30 a pair, and a pack of coils (£12). I've always got a juice surplus, but I get bored of vaping the same thing every day. Expensive compared to you two, but like I say, cheaper than smoking and a lot more fun. I hear good things about Heisenberg, but never tried it - not into menthol. My current favourite is Sugar Fruit by Simply Southern - grapefruit and sugar, and a great all-day flavour.
