I'm not going to argue about a theoretical offside when it wasn't offside and our goal was allowed, but it's not as easy as that. The terms used are bad.Heading the ball is a deliberate act not a deflection.

It doesn't work like that.Nah, he jumped up to head the ball, and headed the ball. The offside lines being drawn were a joke.
It doesn't work like that.
Have a look at Ivan Toneys goal against Spurs midweekIt doesn't work like that.
Same here, it's ruined my enjoyment of watching games. When you went crazy after scoring, now you have to wait for them to find a reason, not to give us a goal. Other than Mereyside Derbies, I'd say decisions evened themselves out. Even with VAR we still get awful decisions week in week out. Both goals today I was barely able to properly celebrate because in situations like those they move hell and earth to find some reason to disallow them. Even when it doesn't actually ruin it it still sort of ruins it.
It didn’t used to. But then Liverpool scored a goal that way and that is the new rule. Absolute joke if you ask me but it is what it is.It doesn't work like that.
A Spurs player passed him the ball. It's hardly the same.Have a look at Ivan Toneys goal against Spurs midweek
There are other considerations. In fact one of the videos on the IFAB website demonstrating non-deliberate play is almost to a tee what Romero did today. I don't think you want that to reset the phase either, you'd be furious if an opposition player was rendered onside because Tarkowski stretched to head clear from a free kick.A deliberate play on the ball.
‘If the pass, attempt to gain possession or CLEARANCE by the player is inaccurate or unsuccessful, this does not negate the fact that the player deliberately played the ball’
it did when salah went on to score when a defender (cant remember who sorry) got a glance to a ball when salad was miles offside. Shall we say the rules are rather 'flexible'.It doesn't work like that.

Anyway, it doesn't matter, it was a goal.
Sorry mate, this one's clear cut.Not for me. One of the criteria states that ‘the ball travelled from distance and the player had a clear view of it’. Which is exactly what happened. I’d be fine if it happened against us because that is the rule.
It's a poorly written rule, and yeah I think that one (Wolves was it?) was a bit unfair. I think we know the reason it counted.it did when salah went on to score when a defender (cant remember who sorry) got a glance to a ball when salad was miles offside. Shall we say the rules are rather 'flexible'.
