I’m a fan of VAR in general but the way it’s being mishandled by these bunch of cowards is criminal. It gets rid of the the clear injustices and I actually like the offside bit.
But on the “subjective” ones it’s used time and time again to bail out the big6 clubs. The furorer that would ensure if ones of these went against them it’s too much for the cowards to deal with so they side with them.
always against those mancs. Two seasons ago their attacker and our defender planted their feet at the same time on the 18 yard line at the park end and of course the red tumbled over. No one ever saw it as a pen and it was even waved away as he wasn’t even getting the ball.
Then VAR gets involved the review down and of course a peno. It makes you sick.
It clear to me that with these contentious ones if the ref gives it, VAR will get involved to reverse it. And if it’s not given by the on pitch ref the opposite will happen VAR will get involved to then give it.
If cowards grouping together as a team of three to say look we’ve all reviewed it and we happy to go with VAR. almost to justify the decision.
They need to be sanctioned every time an overstep of NOT clear and obvious is changed.
