VAR

Also interesting to see that they described it as "just below the knee" when the image shows it as being absolutely central to the shin, so as much just above the ankle as it is just below the knee.
Give it a day, it'll be neck height and intentional with all the usual hype merchants. The crawling by the gutter media is not an unusual sight, they want to be associated with their PL title win, 'football coming home' etc, legacy club of success etc, 'such a winning margin' fawning, ''great to see the boys do it for the fans'' and aldo, sweet sweet waste of space aldo, a walking punchline of a stereotypical brainless kopite, how we will be subjected to this danger.

no world cup, no euros, no olympics, what can save us all this summer?

About Tarky’s erm… challenge. Whether or not you think he ought to have been dismissed, thank goodness - for history - he wasn’t.

Otherwise that last-minute equaliser at Goodison would no longer stand alone as a moment in time - no, it would forever be spoken of alongside “and he was sent off within ten minutes of the return match kicking off”.

He kicked the ball when no one was near him then some red hardman dived in after the ball was 150 yards up the pitch ..... he should have been booked lying there pole axed - nothing wrong with him .....

There has been no word in the press, motd or anywhere really of what it looked to me a clear penalty on alcaraz which is surprising. Looked to me a stonewall penalty. Not sure it was even checked by var. He is taking out by the defender who misses the ball completely. I know the one on beto you could argue starts outside the box really.

Beto one isn't a penalty for me. The Alcaraz one definitely should have been

The officials on the pitch didn't appear to give a free against Branthwaithe in the first half yesterday but seemed like var checked the challenge and was given as a free and maybe a yellow aswel. Thought they weren't supposed to interfere unless it's a red card. Similar happened last time out aswel against Arsenal I think it was. Branthwaithe or OBrien had a bit of argue bargie with a player off the ball. Ref played on and when it went out for a throw he gave a yellow to the player. Again seemingly after var checked the challenge
