Interesting.

ha ha bryan ,ffs news travels fast hey lar

Made me smile folks

On lescott I know I keep saying it but what's in it for them to loan especially since he's on the periphery and they aren't exactly short of dough whilst kompany has just got a red.

If they want rid and just say they could be convinced to loan how would we convince them to stump up a percentage of his wages because we couldn't afford his terms and why would they just sell if they wanted him
Out ?

I'm not saying it can't happen it just seems really unlikely or it'd certainly need people/clubs to be flexible and agents to earn their dough. All that said I'm happy enough we want him , why wouldn't we ? It's just I think there is a lot of very difficult obstacles to be cleared before it could happen

Well we both know city are looking for another CB anyway, Why would they want to keep lescott on the book on huge wages ? If they can half them by loaning him out to us !!

Selling him isnt that easy because of the wage hes on Lescott isnt going to want to drop his wages that much, There is only QPR who could match the wage he on at the moment and they wont. Yeah City have money to burn but they have made it clear over the past few months they are going to cut the wage bill esp with the figures coming out the other day that they have spend just over 200m on wages in a year.

Am not saying its straight forward because its not but its certainly not impossible, Lescott would jump at the chance to come back here !

I've no doubt lescott would love to come here & I've no doubt we'd love him but its the loan bit I'm
Not convinced on. Loaning lescott would save city relative pennies this is a club that spends I think £500k a day on wages. A loan would just postpone any issues for what 6 months and this is a player that's on the bench & comes on fairly regularly as a sub and played against us not too long ago .

City used to give players away particularly on loan but they wouldn't loan Johnson despite numerous inaccurate rumours he was on the verge of signing here on Loan. I think their mentality and aims are changing.

Where I do agree with you and I've said before as the clock ticks down on the window positions can alter but still think this is a very hard (maybe too hard) deal to make.

If Lescott signs I reckon it will be last minute and City will of had to have signed another centre-half to go with Toure, Nastasic and Kompany, who would also all have to be over suspension, fit and returned from international tournaments. Then I can maybe see a deadline day loan, but if Moyes sees him as his top target as some reputable internet sources have now said, I think he needs to reassess and have some other defensive options at the ready i.e. Amorebieta who could be brought in permanently dirt cheap for less than a Lescott loan deal would cost.

Lescott is our top defensive target mate but moyes knows that we won't get him till city buy a new centre half until then there is no chance of us signing him. Once city buy then we can bring him in which personally I think there is a good chance of happening.

City spent a fortune on wages last year and his wage to them is nothing but no one will buy him at close to 10 million and no one will match his wages. Hence the last minute loan move by us with a view to a permanent IF he wants to drop his wages. But that's another story
