I would guess that Moyes was looking at him as one for the future but the price Molde wanted was our level for someone going straight into the team. I don't think that Jags and Distin are going anywhere for another season at least and I couldn't see us paying millions for a third choice centreback, so we dropped our interest. If he went to the RS I expect that he'd be third or even fourth choice behind Coates. I'm not that bothered.
 
I cant see Citteh letting Lescott go if they have not got anyone else in then no chance, what if Kompany or one of the others gets injured. I think it all hinges on if they get a replacement in. Richard Dunne is available on a free there is more chance of us getting him however according to reports on McDonalds Radio he is as wide as an Arriva bus these days. As for Vegard he is foreign/forren the only decent defender we have had that has been foreign is possibly Distin forgive me if I have forgotten someone but I just think of players like Heitinga he has been pony and then there was Per Kroldrup, Ray Atteveld, Slaven Bilic (not bad I suppose on a good day), Yobo and Pistone. We never seem to have much luck with foreign defenders, so glad he is going to Sarfampton.
 
If he signs for Southampton then they've done well for themselves for two reasons:

1) He is a good player with a good future
2) Liverpool are a massive team in Norway and it would appear that they have beaten them to his signature which is interesting

If people don't believe what I say then why be a**ed about it. Il keep you updated on what I hear mate. All I know at the moment is we like him a lot and we don't necessarily have to sell baines or Fellaini to fund the deal. But am also not saying we have 9 million sitting in the bank ready to be spent.

I would be surprised if we didnt like a lad a lot who has been linked with Arse and Chelsea tho.

I like that you have managed to convince me twice that we are signing him in one day. I'll hate you for exploiting my gullibility so often by the end of the window. Stick about though mate, humour my delusions for awhile.
