I've found my weekly intake of meat has reduced as my kids are fussy about eating meat on the bone or roasts like Chicken/Pork/Beef.
I've found my veg intake going up as a result.
Wouldn't get me into Quorn or Tofu yet and don't start me on all these vegan substitutes. If you don't want to eat meat, don't make a product that looks like it and is called nearly the same thing.
Not long after pasta with sauce and richmond meat free meatballs.
For the record I'm not a veggie. The wife is so sometimes it's convenient to eat the same thing.
They are nice mate, i do like the Richmond sausages too. They obviously don't stack up to real meat but as an alternative they are pretty good.Agree it easier, especially if there is minimal difference to the meals. Some things the family wont entertain and some they are fine with. Not tried the meatballs but their sausages are really good - as long as they dont get dry during cooking.
I use green lentils to make shepards pie, chilli etc instead of quorn and of course its not the same texture as mince but is just as nice in flavour. Im still waiting for a very good chicken breast substitute though as havent found one yet.
The likes of stir frys and pastas can just be meat free or a few veggies thrown in.
