I did today mate, I did a Quorn Chilli, & it was ok ! Never had Qourn before !!

Quorn has now been superseded by lots of other products imo
Sainsbury’s has an amazing frozen range of meat substitutes (so does Ann summers though)

I'd rather be dead, my son went Vegan last year to please his girlfriend, what a miserable life they live. Every funeral wake, wedding or family christening we all attend they sit there with a bag of crisps as nothing off the buffet they can't eat.

This is about vegetarians not vegans

Wife went vegan 7 years ago, mainly for allergies to dairy but she never ate meat that much anyway. I started cutting out what animal at a time until the pandemic hit and I went vegan. Tricky to start with as I'm a picky eater and loved meaty things, but there is so much choice now the only thing not the same is a rare steak. Ffs they now do double McPlants in McDonald's and they are identical.

Word of warning, try and buy brands that are not Quorn as it turns out they sponsor Liverpool, and Ginsters donate to the tories so I've stopped eating their pasties or sausage rolls.

Yeah I do stuff like this, Albert Bartlett Potatoes is one I won't use and tell others too avoid, they are pro fox hunting

Cows are bad for the environment due to them farting all the time, I’m trying to help the planet by eating as many cows as I possibly can but you tree hugging veggies ain’t helping at all with this, selfish buggers.

In all seriousness that's how most people will move to and eventually a large number will transition to plant based as animal based foods become more expensive.

I’m not a huge fan of McDonalds, but whenever we go as a family I now get a McPlant. It ain’t to do with any morality issues… it just tastes good.

Plus, you actually feel full for a decent period afterwards rather than the usual emptiness and sickly feeling you get with the meat.

As alternatives improve, more will move over because of the ease and the taste.

Gonna order myself a chickpea curry tonight off just eat. When I order takeaway I often order vegan meals because there’s less risk they can poison you lol

Also started cooking with tofu recently as I’m starting to go off handling raw meat at home too

Nothing like a vegan to spoil the mood at a funeral.

I've found my weekly intake of meat has reduced as my kids are fussy about eating meat on the bone or roasts like Chicken/Pork/Beef.

I've found my veg intake going up as a result.

Wouldn't get me into Quorn or Tofu yet and don't start me on all these vegan substitutes. If you don't want to eat meat, don't make a product that looks like it and is called nearly the same thing.

Have taken a liking to the plant based sharmwa. Can make a much healthier kebab without the grease. Good option when trying to eat better as it still feels like having a treat.
