Why arent people noticing that isn't his football ability that is the issue, we know hes big and strong, and when played against the right defender he can be a bully in a positive way.

People have issues with his ATTITUDE, which has not changed. He came on today, worked a little hard, then Mirallas was left chasing three guys whilst he just stood there.

To those who say Moyes will sort it, if he hasnt sorted it in what has been 5/6 years?, Then it isnt going to change.

He took his goal very, very well, but needs to do it more often and show that he wants to win, wants to score, wants to work hard.

Kevin looked furious.

I still think Vic is a bit of a donkey on the ball most of the time. As for how good he is, I am more than happy for him to prove me wrong. If he gets 15 goals in a season, I'll even get a shirt with the name "I WAS WRONG ABOUT VIC" on the back.

Just him celebrating is starting to endear me to him. However while he did well for his goals I wasn't to sure about his work rate but thats being picky. For now I'll just be happy that Big Vic is starting to look good.

Victor yet again gets slated scores two one unfairly was disalowed - FFS why morons come on here - his recent goals per game is better than most in a blue shirt - he would have been a hero if it had stayed at 2-1 his 2nd goal was class!

I've been saying for a while, he'll come good (or he even might have come already) he delivered when given chances last season and he did that last night again. He's no Jela but I think we'll have use for the brute.

He stopped the flow of our attacks because he doesn't have a footballing brain; he can't link up play, he doesn't know how to drag defenders and once Jelavic went off our options up front looked exactly like the start of last season.....out of ideas and clueless.

Yes he scored a good goal (a very good goal) it still doesn't hide the fact that his contribution to the team play is awful. There was one point when Mirallas ran past him twice to close their defenders down while Vic stood there; Vics a big, athletic bloke there is no excuse for standing there.

And the through ball was his fault, nothing to do with Taylor or any other Newcastle player; he couldn;t control it and take into his stride. Just compare the way he controlled that chance to the way Jelavic controlled the ball against Villa when they went down to 10 men, the first touch is crucial and Vic doesn't have it all the time

I actually quite like him and rooted for him big time when he came on. He can finish, no doubt and when he puts a shift in he's dangerous. He's an impact sub though. Can't handle 90 mins and never could.

I have always stated if Victor ever scored a hattrick fans on here would moan about him - Victor is a great back to goal player on the floor - his goal proved that - other players particualy the capt PN cost us, & the ref & assistant cost us last night. Victor really scored two goals & still fans moan about him

Ive never rated the lad, but in 2012 he is starting to prove me wrong to be honest. Cropped up with some important goals last season and his finish last night was superb.

This. Yeah the time he was through on goal a top player would have scored but he took his goal well and would have had another if the ref wasn't bent. Proving me wrong.

Oh and his celebration wasn't bad either!

You know, considering people have been slagging him off for that too.
