I hear what your saying but to flip that, your basically saying you want to drop Jelavic who works hard and plays well every game because Anichebe had a decent game, which to me is just as harsh and morale damaging to Jelavic.

No mate. You wouldn't be dropping Jelavic because he got injured. Victor has scored 3 legit goals in two games and has been widely reported as playing well. If he's doing a job for the side why leave him out? That's not fair in my eyes.

If we want players on top form they need to know that you need to play well to be in the side and the players out the side need to know that if they play well enough to stay in, they do.

Otherwise what's the point of working hard in training and busting a gut when you get on if you don't play no matter what?

Victor Anichebe vs Swansea

This was one of his best display's for Everton, he came on against Newcastle getting a goal and putting in a good performance and he has continued that into this game, getting another goal and working his socks off for the team. This is the Anichebe I love seeing!

You know, he played better than I thought. I actually wouldn't mind him playing with Jelavic tomorrow. I think he might have figured it out a bit, and his effort was better than it used to be.

Anichebe was the only player on the pitch who deserves any credit. And Mirallas who just couldn't get into the game not for the want of trying. I blame Moyes. totally. what a nob. someone should come on the radio and torment and confuse him for life.

Needs benching for Saturday. We don't do 4-4-2 well and let's face it, Vic's a super sub at best. Don't get me wrong, he's surprised me no end of late, but he's a sub to bring on when you need someone to throw their weight around for 10 mins.

He chased hard and got himself into a couple of decent openings. Good assist for the goal and should've won a pen. One of the better players, for sure.

No problem at all with Vic tonight, tbh his touch was poor at times, but nearly scored a replica of the newcastle goal and never stopped trying. Far worse out there tonight.

Vic played well, again. Also had to contend with a marker that gave him a blatant shove in the back every time a ball came up to him, but Lee Mason viewed that as fair play.

gotta be honest, he doesn't deserve to be displaced by jelavic for soton. we know jelavic is the better player by far, but anichebe hasn't put a foot wrong in his absence, was very impressive against swansea, brilliant game winning contribution from the bench against newcastle (it was game winning) and as well as oviedo, was the only person to turn up tonight, looked a threat whenever he got the ball which was very rare.

again victor was very good again tonight and was leading the team on obviously his confidence is high really hope he starts saturday and isnt benched now jelavic is fit again
