I don't think he was lazy at all. In fact I think he wrongly runs himself into the ground most games he starts (why I like him as a sub much better) He's almost 250lb and no human being that size can go all out and still have energy late in the game to game to get a step off/jump higher than a defender. Wigan seemed to be more worried about him than anyone and he commanded quite a few double teams.

Mate I was at the game today and there is a chance that a few people with obstructed views wouldn't have even known he was playing, he was that static

A bit harsh not one of his best games but as I stated both Vioctor & Jelly were just fed hoof balls most of the game Wigns midfield was in control untill just after half time in the 20 minute period where Osman took the game to them playing centre mid & not being totally wasted on the right wing Victor did lay off the first goal for Osman!

Wow. I thought he worked hard today minus the slew of bad tackles. He didn't end up on his butt a lot - which was a hallmark of his performances last year.

Didn't think he was the most mobile, but his work effort put himself in my good graces at least. And he looked more likely to score than Jelavic - who I think has been cursed by bad dark magic or something his touch is so bad right now.

Starting to warm to him. Amazing I know. My hope for him is to stay INJURY FREE.

Agree, thought he was good yesterday, especially when compared to Jelavic who was quite poor.

I'm not a huge fan of Vic but I think he's done enough in the last few games to keep his place up front against Newcastle.

Assuming Gibson is still out injured we could slot Fellaini back into midfield.

Well in Vic.

Absolutely. Felli has to play deeper on Wednesday. Vic can't be dropped after that, unless he's knackered, which he shouldn't be. He should get some joy from their defence.

I agree! In the absence of both Belgians he has really stepped up. His attitude has been top as well, always chasing down loose balls and pressing the opposition. Hope he stays fit as he has definitely shown he's worthy of being in this squad!

well worth his place for rst of season now especially as he is helping deal defensively with the threats from set pieces

Vic and Seamus are without doubt the most improved players over the course of a year I think I've ever seen. Vic especially is a completely different player!

Yep, he's completely changed my opinion of him, so much work yesterday.. Could of fitted most of his previous careers running into the last few games he's played.

He's gone from being lazier than Saha's dog to having more enthusiasm than Jack Wilshires ferret.

He was everywhere yesterday. pressed and pressed, ran himself into the ground.

He has really endeard himself to the fans this season.

Really shows how much he has matured as a player. He was one of the laziest lads in the team at one stage but his effort yesterday was second to none. Was absolutely deserving of his standing ovation at the end, bloody brilliant performance from Vic.
