He's a fine player and, on current form, our best striker. I don't want him sold or dropped.

But that wasn't a fantastic performance. It was a good one, he worked hard and scared their defence but he couldn't take advantage of that when he had chances to. Keep the hyperbole out of it.

I think he was doing a bit too much today, sometimes just wasted our chance to keep pocession.

It seems we already have a ready replacement for Fellaini in Anichebe.

God never thought I would have written those lines.

I'm starting to understand why people on here loved Denis.

Hard work is not a substitute for scoring goals. If we have any ambitions of competing in Europe regularly he can't be our striker.

Shoot me down if you want but he's not good enough. Yes he's a lump who can shield a ball and he works hard but he has no real pace, no trickery, woeful decision making and not a very good finisher. If you're happy with that then fine, personally I wanna see better.

I'm sorry, but if that was a player for Liverpool, the media would be falling over themselves. At times today, he was unplayable, and made Dawson/Caulker/Vertonghen (who some are saying are the best, most physical defenders in the premiership) look very poor.
He didn't take his chance, but aside from the dink, did everything write, shot accross the keeper, with his weaker foot, while lifting it. All this time holding Dawson off.
We were firing aimless long balls at him, balls that up to lots of other strikers get headed back at us. He was winning them and turning them into chances.
I don't ever think he will be clinical. But at the battering ram style centre forward, he is the most imposing I have seen since Drogba.
Fantastic display, given the lack of service really.

He has been one of the best strikers in the league this season. Most sides would kill for someone like him up front. That will do for me.
