I also think Davis has potential despite looking shaky yesterday, credit to him for playing on aswell. His shoulder supposedly popped out.:blink:

You have to admit they have had more than their fair share of luck though;

Jagielka's only shocking mistake of the season.
Milner's goal with the back of his head when he was falling the other week.
Carson's o.g. off the post then his back - won 2-1
Zayatte o.g. against Hull - won 1-0
Neill o.g. against West Ham - won 1-0
Plus more penalties than we'd had for a decade (up until last week!)

But.

I also have to admit they've signed very well - Friedel especially.
They play as a real team, like we do, which is always good to see, as is the fact that they have a primarily English squad and an obiously fairly decent academy set-up.

I honestly hope they can finish top 4 - because I believe that we both can as Arsenal, Liverpool & Chelsea continue to falter.

But if we finish 5th and they've kept us out, I won't be best pleased.

Nearly split my sides last night - watching the game for a second time on ITV1 - it showed a little clip of both teams last F.A cup win - It was sad enough to see clips of Rideout ,waggy and co. and realise it was 14 long years ago ,but [Poor language removed] me Villas clip had Buster keaton, Harrold Lloyd and feckin Charlie chaplin in the crowd watchin the game!!....... What a hoot!!!

- At least we have won the F.A cup in colour!!!!!

Ye, it's why so many Villa fans are waiting for that one. You got fans who has experienced league win, European cup win, and every other [Poor language removed] cup around, but never the ****** FA cup.

The worst part for me has been the last 8 years. It's like the draws are fixed. We ALWAYS get United.

Like I said mate, a club with an excellent history, very similar to our own:

They're our main rivals at the moment, surely we have more excuse than anyone to be jealous/agitated towards them? It's BECAUSE they're a good club with a good manager and good players that makes us all furious, we want to be better than them. It's just competitiveness.
