Villa appreciation thread - If you don't like them stay out!

Villa have done great this season (well, so far anyway) and I believe they deserve to be where they are at the moment. However, don't think for a second, Everton is a lesser team compared to them. we had an awful start to the season and that's still haunting us. Still not given up hope of catching up with them during our run-in though.
 
They deserve to be there.

They're a good team but we're so better then them, simple as.

Our full strength side v theirs? 3-1 Everton, again.

Ashley Young is ******* superb though, his crossing ability is remarkable.

Fair play to the season they have had.

Only thing that annoys me is Martin O'Neil constantly referring to us as the team he wants to emulate, and the media comparing them to us in breaking the top four.

We did it having sold Rooney for £30m (and later Gravesen who was massively influential that season), replacing him with Marcus Bent for £450k.

Massive difference when you consider the amount of money Villa have spent.
 

Considering we had a nightmare start, winning only 2 in 12. That combined with losing key influential players (Yakubu...) it is testament to only be 11 points behind Villa - who are having a great season. Honestly think it would be 8 if Jagielka didn't do "that" pass.

If Villa lost say, Ashley Young as we did Yakubu... how would that have affected them?

Like we lost Carew you mean? Then we went on breaking the club record of straight away wins.

Gonna be fun bumping this thread in April though.
