Like we lost Carew you mean? Then we went on breaking the club record of straight away wins.

Gonna be fun bumping this thread in April though.

Carew is definitely as good as Yakubu and he's out for the season as well I think?

Good post Neb.

I've had a healthy respect for Aston Villa, especially over the past couple of years as Lerner/O'Neill have built up something solid over there.

Not unlike what Moyes and Kenwright have done. Yes, they've had a bit more money to work with than we have but I wouldn't hold that against them.

I am hoping that they earn a Champions League spot at the expense of one of the "Big 4."

I have no idea why you are getting worked up. I've never chanted [Poor language removed] about your star trek kid. Nice to generalize though, assume being in the shadow of the red scouse does that you.

Yeah Carew just got back. Ironically we lose our first match in ages when he pulled the shirt on. Bouma seems to out for the season though. Unless they get him match fit within a month.

Is it only me who has seen the deflected and dubious goals?

Their blatant good luck?

For the first time on Sunday they didnt get gifted their goals, and surprise surprise, they were [Poor language removed] and were consigned to a comfortable defeat and the only goal they did get was, surprise surprise, another gift. I've maintained it all season Villa are a, overhyped, overrated load of rubbish.

1 man team, and even he is just quick.

spot on(y)

They aren't lucky. They are so fast that they pounce on others mistakes (see 1st game) even when they are getting bossed and this year they have a competent keeper to boot. If it wasn't for Timmy's save and some awful finishing they would have scored 3-4 on us Saturday. I would rather see them win the title than any of the big 4. That's why they play well against the top teams. They don't need to control the run of play to bag a couple goals against them.

They've built their team the right way. I wish O'Neill would have sold Barry though (thought that's mostly Wenger's fault for being cheap). The [Poor language removed] wouldn't be 2nd without Alonso.

Got to be the most bizzare thread ever, why would i want to praise that clueless idiot? They have had some amazing luck this season including the game at GP and are no better than us.

I like their wingers, Young and Milner. Think they're very good players.

The other day I was looking at their squad and thinking to myself "they're better than we are"... Well I just slaped my own face and shouted to myself "are you f uckin' mad? They're [Poor language removed] and no one is better than Everton".

Got a stop drinking.
