Villa Request Everton Postponement

They only way this game goes ahead is if they were playing the RS, Utd, City, Spurs or Chelsea.

They hold so much sway with the premier league but in our case the game will get postponed.

Why wasn’t their cup tie with the scum not postponed ?
Tottenham had a game cancelled last week on the morning they were due to play. The world isn't out to get Everton lads Jesus, we are in pandemic I'm currently at home myself with Covid, i was as sick as a dog but thankfully better.
Carlo said, 16 days before Leicester, that it would be 10-15 days for Allan.
i would take everything Carlo says about injuries with a pinch of salt.

This being said, while I'm happy for the rest, we have 15 days from one league game to the next, and we seem to be a team that thrives on building up momentum.

Assuming we don't have to play City next week, need to just have a good performance in the cup - will help that Doucoure can start that one since he'll be missing v Leicester - and keep up the wins. If we can get Allan back for that after a week of training with the team, even if it's just for a brief cameo to get up to speed, and then he can start v Leicester.

Or, just actually go out and make some signings. That'd be the sensible solution.

I'm not sure many teams would see making signings as a sensible solution. Let's say we sign Zaha on a 150k a week contract and then the next week the league is cancelled until May, you've then gone and blown 2+ million quid on wages on a player who isn't even playing for 4 months not to mention his transfer fee.

This is agreat point, I'm convinced this window will see little deals done, by anyone

Surely it makes sense for Villa to play next week during the FA Cup games.

They could move our game to Monday/Tuesday then play Newcastle, who are also out of the cup, on the Saturday.

It gives all the clubs enough time to prepare and also our FA Cup game is covered.

If they aren’t able to field a team because some of their players broke the rules set by the FA then the game should be awarded to us by winning 0-3. Then Villa can have their rest as they like. I hope our club will stand up for this. Clubs can’t just cancel a match like the Citch game which impact our performance such as against West Ham at home.

I just don't get all the moaning, it's a pandemic it could happen to us think about how we would feel about that.

As for the FA cup tie versus Liverpool compared to the league against us, as numerous posts have printed out it's just not like with like, Villa had to play the cup game or lose money and forfeit it anyway - there is no comparison to be made.

The other suggestion on Villa playing us Monday or Tuesday just isn't on, play us Monday or Tuesday, play City Wednesday and Newcastle FA cup weekend after barely returning to full training, if their training ground opens to schedule is ridiculous.

The FA don't make the premier league rules, the premier league administer their own league. The FA are overall responsible for football in this country but their competition is the FA cup, they also look after disciplinary matters.

It is their own responsibilities to obey the straight rules set by the FA. It’s their own business. Likewise, Carlo said our club follow the straight guideline in a conference did he? Players trained then go home, nothing else.

It's the playing Liverpool with the kids but can't for us part which is the only thing that's annoying me about this.

Yeah, you know that there rules are different.

You can't rearrange a 3rd round cup tie for middle of March when the 5th round will have been played, but you can rearrange a league fixture.

Absolutely ruins the integrity of the cup if Sheffield Wednesday have to play kids, equally the same for Derby and Villa, but that's just me.
