Get on to them blues Hierarchy. They are making the rules up as they go so lets have one that is fair to us too.

Likewise they will have Barkley back, which is a bonus for them

Fulham had two days training didn't they? It would be more of a farce if the league had loads of cancelled games, with teams picking up 3 points instead of playing the game. What are other leagues around Europe doing?

Every chance they could try and slot a game in like the below but the league took stick from Fulham/Spurs so god knows;

We're going to play those games anyway. And if we do play City next week we've got 6 days to be prepared.

Would you say the say if our next game had been at home to Sheff U?

Fair enough if they’re taking their time before putting him back into the team, but surely to god he should be training by now? It can’t be doing him any good sitting there. I think he’s probably had another setback and the club don’t have the bottle to release the news to the fans so are hoping we’ll all just forget about it.
 
Sorry if I'm becoming tiresome on this topic, but first can I say from the Covid point of view, postponing is the correct decision.
But where the feck is the consistency. I've been looking high and low for a sensible explanation why a Villa team consisting of rugrats is acceptable to face the RS in the Cup, but not able to play a league game. Can I presume therefore that it's down to the PL/FA rule differences?

I actually think Villa wanted to play that youth game regardless, dont forget they are a top 4 contender and already have a backlog, they could view the cup as a hindrance. Funny thing is Klopp might of as well, and they now have to play United haha

But it isn't Sheff U though is it, it is Leicester who are much stronger and so we will be without a very important player against a much better team than the team he would have served his suspension on so why should we be disadvantaged through no fault of our own due to an organisation that are just adjusting the rules as they go. It is only fair and balanced if the rules are adjusted for all clubs involved. We were arguably shafted with the postponement of the City game too as they were very obviously able to field a full team at the time but just wanted their strongest team against us so they can beat us.

Season has turned into a complete joke tbh.

Are Leicester really a 'much stronger' team than Villa? Not from what i've seen. Agree that the season is in danger of turning into a joke, but we're not being disadvantaged any more than anyone else is really. Yes the league should be more transparent about things and yes they need to settle on what happens each time this comes about, but people aren't really helping with all the false equivalences and conspiracy theories they're throwing out there.
