Here's just turned 26 and is coming off the back of a long recovery from an injury. All players know, particularly the ones who aren't world class but are flavours of the moment, that the opportunity to make big moves in your career don't come around very often. If he feels it's time to make the step up and forces his way out, there's nothing Southampton could do. Really not sure he'd come here but what's the harm in trying.
