Transfer Rumour Virgil Van Dijk

Be made up if we landed him.

Him and Koeman have/had a very strong relationship in a prior life. Him and Mrs K treated him like a son when he moved there.

Just think we should go 'f' it, and stick a 65m bid right in for him with a very good payment schedule up front, worst that happens is it forces the rs to match it and will wreck any other business they are trying to do by having to pay that much up front.

The only thing left is who opens the bidding. I think Liverpool will need someone to trigger this transfer for them. But I would put my mortgage on him ending up there. Southampton having a new manager doesn't help this situation.

As i said mate, we should open the bidding right now whilst they are still in the middle of trying to get Keita, 65m on the table, a generous portion straight up front, lets see if they are able to match it without instantly pulling pout of the Keita talks - which will show their owners up as not having the money for both anyway

Bad move IMO. I want no one to bid because I can't see Liverpool bidding for him until someone does. The ideal situation for Liverpool is to match someone else's bid and then, should Southampton reject one and accept the other, Get VVD to force the Liverpool move through.

I think Liverpool are still worried about whatever it was that forced that statement a few weeks ago that they won't risk just bidding for him.

Nah mate i want us to bid, and if they do match the bid etc, get Koeman to drop a few comments in the press conference shortly after they do, and bring up the entire tapping up thing and how it's strange they have decided to go back on what they said...

be pure popcorning
