the problem with that is, this lad has to be thrown in because we have no other options. there were points when DCL was taken out of the firing line - will this player get the chance to be rotated out?

yes, you can tell decent athletes pretty much straight off

Digne, Godfrey, Coleman (when he was younger obvs)

This lad is not in their class athletically.

Lets not forget that. The genius tactician benitez threw him into that first half system. Colemans been playing in this country since 1954 and even he look bemused as to what he was supposed to be doing in the first half.

I think with full backs you are expecting pace and power, this player doesnt look to have either on first glance.

According to my buddy Wikipedia winter break in Ukraine is three months long. After another quick search his last first team competitive game seems to be 6 weeks ago against Bayern, in a 2-1 champions league defeat.

I think we need to give this lad a few games before passing judgment. Debut today and did OK. To be fair he just arrived and knows little about his teammates and surroundings. Hopefully when settled in will be fine

…..I appreciate it’s his first game but I have to say I was a bit concerned with that display. I’m not keen on his movement, his gait and how he settles in a one on one against a forward.
