Then the defensive line should shift - not much. Tarkowski is also a couple of meters ahead of the other three in the defensive line, and is positioned incorrectly in relation to defending the inside and giving Myko Cover.

I also think Pickford should save Saka's shot. It's a bad angle, and goalkeepers save shots from that position 7 out of 10 times on average. Cover the nearest post, and stand on your feet.

Because McNeil hadn’t tracked Martinelli who was then in space out wide. Myko was trying to cover 2 players and the communication across the back line is crap. Yeah, that image shows it, Gana isn't close enough to Zinchenko, other midfielders are out of position. They're a good team and will exploit this stuff, but Myko was trying to cover two players and ended up stranded

I mean, this season, other than Iwobi with 6 and McNeil with 2, we have a handful of players with 1. And our right back also doesn’t have any.

Hardly a great beating stick when the rest of the team is just as garbage. He also has maupay to aim for when crossing.

That might explain his obscene positioning later on, actually.

There was a move where one pass would have put Saka in on goal from Arsenal's left-back position if they'd seen it, despite there being 11 Everton players behind the ball.

He doesn’t/can’t/won’t cross when DCL is in the side either though.

Oh no, I agree, but I’m not expecting him to get loads of assists. Especially when our wingers aren’t getting any and there is more expectation on them to do so. (Iwobis came when he was playing centrally).

It just feels like an unnecessary thing to level at him and not at everyone else.

But he's rubbish every week can't defend can't take a man on can't cross.. McNeil is trying to help him out all the time because he's a liability..

This. Myko got caught in no man’s land because he had saka on one side of him and another attacker running through on the outside. One of the CBs needed to come across.

Was a poor goal to giveaway but it wasn’t all his fault.

I’m sorry, as a centre back myself that was all on Myko. Terrible, terrible fullback play.

Most of our players are very limited, and Myko is no exception. I wish we had better players in all positions, but we don't. I think he's had a nice curve under Dyche, but that's not the same as saying he's very good. Everton don't have very good players.
