Consecutive managers haven't given him a chance, so we can only surmise he's beyond dire. The pecking order is Godfrey, Mykolenko, the kit man and Vinagre.

The fact that Dyche has played Godfrey over Mykolenko in most games suggests he knows he's poor, but forced himself into it yesterday by not playing Patterson.
Im honestly not sure you could assemble a squad this bad if you actively tried to achieve it

Avoiding the point I’m making about what kinds of excuses are still flying around for him

I won’t push it
If there was anything dodgy about that deal, it would have had something to do with Usmanov being linked to Dynamo Kiev's owner through the latter's brother (both part of the oligarch cartel behind Moldova Steel Works).

Mykolenko being used as a propaganda mascot was weird, but I think that was more just opportunism in the moment than anything else.

Was thinking it could have been a move to show that our owners aren’t pro Putin but your explanation sounds more plausible

I saw it mentioned that Dynamo were in some sot of financial trouble at the time - or at least the owner was - which leads me to believe that if it was anything, it was just good old-fashioned, Western as apple pie-style corruption.

Gave this lad plenty time now but he truly is one of the worst footballers I’ve ever seen get on a football pitch consistently.

Genuine question has there ever been a worse succession plan that has gone from someone great in Baines, to someone very good in Digne to then someone who’s arguably one of the worst full backs across Europe in Mykolenko.

It’s actually tragic how years ago we had one of the world’s best full back pairings in Coleman and Baines, pioneering the forward thinking full back, to this now having comfortably the worst in the league.
