And thank god we did. Don’t know where we’d be without him now.
You seem annoyed at me simply stating a fact this morning Michael

The last times he was sent out at LB he got absolutely destroyed and every attack successfully ran through him.So going into the last 2 we have potentially 3 full back injured, and a cb that only seem to play well when at left back...if that's not unlucky, I am not sure what is.
TownsendCrazy to think the number of players we've had at left back over the last two years:
Anybody else had a go there?
- Digne
- Mykolenko
- Coleman
- Godfrey
- Holgate
- Kenny

so you're going to play a guy who hasn't played in over 12 months , out of position , in the most important game of the season ? Good luck with that.If Townsend is finally fit, id play him behind Dwight. At least he's got a good left-peg. Plus he always puts a shift in so it means there's less tracking-back for McNeil to do. The absolute state of this club. Worrying about who could do a job at lb because of only 1 proper lb at the club. Cheers Chairman Mao...

A LB from the U23s or 18S over HolgateBig problem this. Sod’s Law that Coleman, Godfrey and Vinagre out too.
I would guess Holgate’s confidence will be shot so it would leave us with 3 options:
1. Play McNeil as an orthodox left back with Gray in front.
2. Bring Keane into the team at left back
3 Bring Keane into the team and play 3 at the back, McNeil wing back.
Not sure which is the least worst option tbh. Dyche has hardly ever played a back 3, just isn’t what he coaches.

Coady can't play v WolvesIf we went 3 at the back he'd bring Coady in.
3 at the back and Mcneil as WB might be our only option. If he played Mcneil full back, he'd out Iwobi in front of him to help as Gray doesn't do any of the defensive side well.
