Clearly got told to work at his strength and has done it. Always good when they are willing to learn and adapt. Playing very well, we have been blessed with left backs this century.

He works really well with McNeil generally too. Think McNeil gives him the confidence to join in a bit further up the pitch when allowed.

Yes, this was what I was going to say as well. He just looks physically more capable, big development so far this season. Think both fullbacks get good protection and help from the wide midfielders which has been important in improving the overall team performance.

Was funny seeing him make a move into the box in the second half and pointing where he wanted the cross to be placed, as if he was our centre forward, before we lost the ball and he had to bomb it back up the pitch to his position.

Surprisingly for a lad signed by one of the most hated figures in the club's history and in the midst of a full scale war in his home country, struggled to adjust. Some people make judgements out of context, but how can you in his instance?

Was always good 1-on-1 but tended to struggle with some of the physical aspects of the game and appeared to panic on the ball quite a bit. Now he's got McNeill ahead of him and the best young CB in the country to his right, as well as a few extra lbs from hitting the gym, is quite the asset. All things considered, is player of the year so far IMHO

I think the quality of Branthwaite has injected confidence all over the park. Myko is like a different player this season particularly on the ball. But looks stronger and more assured defensively which was a strength but it’s got better.
