Im not so sure its out of charity as it is neccessity. They have such a hard time convincing someone to come play for us that once they get one person in the building they cant let them leave. Its too hard to get a replacement.

People talking about full back is an evolved position, but you look at left back in this league and its full of stand in's or average footballers.
There arent any stand out Leighton Baines or Ashley Cole's anywere

Look at City & Arsenal, neither actually have a left back, they just throw Gvardiol or Timber or Califiori in there.
Roberstson has been good over the past 10 years but he's getting on
Udogie is meh
Digne is good, but we all saw he also has negative aspects of his game

Another poor display, absolutely anonymous, he just doesn’t get involved. Like he hides through games. A 40 year old Young puts him to shame. Very disappointing.

Weird. Just watched the whole game again. Thought about overlapping a couple of times and stopped, and a couple of passes into players that had defenders right up their arse and gave it away, but generally defended perfectly well. Very well a couple of times. I’m happy for him to be too disciplined rather than reckless.

Would 1000% prefer an upgrade obviously, or Digne. It does rely on the LW to create things on their own. But harshly criticised sometimes. Defended fine.
