3 wins since the start of September

The thing is take someone like Potter - progressive/young/is the players best mate (everything we seem to want in a manager over Rafael) yet they are on a similar if not worse run than us with half of the injury problem.

Benitez hasn't done well so far but lets be honest Man City / RS / Chelsea and one or two others like West Ham / Arsenal aside the rest of the league are in minus GD and unable to get a good run of form together.

It's a very poor standard imo this year.

Why do you always talk about Graham Potter? Literally no one ever mentions him but you.

Because thats the type of manager most on here want.

Young
Progressive
Nice Guy

We aint getting a title winning manager so people can forget that and anyone like Poch/Ten Hag wouldn't touch us with a bargepole.

I don't want Potter mate

I just don't want Benitez

I'll admit my view is blinkered. I've gone overboard in my response to @Saint Domingo - I don't think he's that bad. But I do think he's bad. I do think he's completely wrong for us. I despise his ego. I wouldn't mind if he could back it up but he can't with his recent record. Everything I was worried would happen when he came in has happened. He's divisive, his footy is poor, he won't budge from one idea (not on about a formation here) even when it's clear it only works with certain players.

I was willing to give him a chance but this run has burned any bridges for me. Not because it's this run, I get there's caveats, but because I can see us going on a run like this twice a season. He did it with Newcastle, he did it in China ffs.

The whole thing with Digne just worries me because it's a manager coming in and just cutting a very good player. At least Mykolenko is young, he could end up being better. I have no idea with the move in principle, it's just why it's being done. I think it's being done because Benitez decided he couldn't be crossed/picked a fight, whatever. Like with James. Rather than it being for any actual move towards helping the team. Or we'd see this money being spent on a RB rather than a LB surely?

If people accepted the next 2-3 years are all about mid table security whilst the stadium is being built / FFP + wages decks are cleared they'll be a lot less frustrated.

We aint looking to compete for top 4/6 in this time people need to accept this fella is essentially doing what Alladyce was brought in to do.

Once the finances are improved / the stadiums near enough built maybe the owners will punt him if he aint having us fighting for europe but thats a while away imo.
