For better or worse we have a squad that has one left back in it, and two right backs.

The left back has fallen out with the manager and is rumoured to want to leave maybe even in January. That would leave us with zero left backs and two right backs.

The club therefore wants to buy a left back.

Maybe because if we’d just have put egos aside and kept Digne we could then sign a RB and have a nice defence. Rocket science I know but we all can dream.

Benitez has bombed out two players already. James (might well have been going anyway but let's face it, he was bombed out - even if the reasons were valid) and Digne. In both instances lots of fans have backed the manager.

You now have fans who were earlier this week rightly saying Benitez needed to be binned off unless he improves sharpish now giving them his full backing to have full control of the club because we scraped a (deserved) draw at Chelsea.

I read your post. We've tried to get right-backs all over the last four seasons, and managed Sidibe.

Do agree what you have said but not to bring in a rb again is a mistake.
