Where has he said that?

I'm going off media reports, so it's an "If" as I said. We'll find out soon what's true and what's not. We need a decision soon because we need a player by monday.

The reports change every few hours. It's hard to keep up but looks very unprofessional for the club for everything to be aired so publicly

I think it is a bigger worry if Moshiri caves to fan pressure and ends interest in VP. I would hope that we have an owner who has courage in his own convictions. If Moshiri believes VP to be the right man, appoint him. Fans right now, would not be unanimously happy with any appointment. He is less divisive than Benitez, but more divisive than other possible appointments like Lampard. But whoever is appointed there would be reservations and would not be loved by all. That is how the club is right now.

If Moshiri believes VP to be the right way to go, he should do it. The second he crumbles to fan pressure (which he didn't do when it was more intense with RB), he loses what little credibility he has left.

Sorry but what?

Benitez was the right man in moshiris eyes and look where we are. If the club goes down this season it is because moshiri backed his own choice to the point that it became detrimental to the club's position in the league.

The last person who should be choosing the manager is moshiri. It should be chosen by our director of football, failing that a unified board decision.

Sometimes fans know more than the owner. We are at the point where that has been proven here. It's not who we want as manager, it's who we don't want, twice in a season should tell you something as an owner.

That is paramount.

Getting someone in by the weekend is urgent to say the least.

He doesn’t have any credibility left. I don’t trust anyone he believes to be the “right man”

I dont think so.

I think it's a straight choice between Pereira and Lampard....and they should choose one and GTF on with getting players in and working with the team.

You could well be right, but there is always the outside chance of a curve ball. Martinez was supposedly very likely a week ago now not even a candidate. I see our owner as quite compulsive so anything could happen.

Unfortunately the people who could be getting on with that were constantly undermined and then pushed out to back the manager. And then the manager was sacked shortly after.

Any number of agents with bang mediocre players are gonna be rubbing their hands together anticipating panicky Everton come deadline day.

Not with the time constraints. We have literally days to tie this up and AFAIK the work has only really been done with two candidates.
