That’s really neat. The USA flag in the women’s education is kind of strange to watch. Starts out with a seeming unassailable lead, but basically never moves and is then run down and passed by most of the Western world. We’re still roughly on par with most of them, but I wouldn’t have expected that the level of women’s education in this country pretty much hasn’t changed in 50 years.

It slightly improves over time but yeah I hadn’t realized in the early 70s the US had such a clear advantage and not sure what accounted for it.
