Complete with a tea towel, to wrap the food, that`s already been wrapped up, on the plate you took with you.

I once went out with a girl from Haydock and I was in stitches the first time I saw this in the local chippy.

Don`t get me started on pea wet and scraps, the utter wronguns.

Well, this turned out to be a horrific delve into food subculture...

A 'pea wet'. That is a potato scallop (a slice of spud battered and fried) on a barm with the watery broth off the top of cooked marrowfat peas to moisten the deal.

There's some really bad people out there, doing really bad things! Reckon a spot of curry sauce as an extra would be good?

I'll defend mushy peas to the hilt but pea wet really isn't acceptable. Just thinking of that soggy barm makes me retch.

Expect to see a £17 version of it at a London food market some time soon.

Given me a laugh this thread as one of my mates back when we were about 21 was knobbing a bird who was about 40, he said she cooked him dinner one night and put the plates in the oven to warm them before eating. He said it was at that exact moment he knew he needed to get the hell out of there lol lol lol

Gonna text him about it now as its been about 10 years since we've ridiculed him.
